David Plouffe the architect of President Obama’s 2008 ousting of Hillary Clinton and successful election is back on the job as Obama’s unofficial re-election czar He should be closely watched for the next 28 months.

The convoluted and obstructionist Environmental Protection Agency and the green organizations that forced necessary oil extraction into the depths far off shore where problems in a realm where humans cannot work must be held partially responsible for the Gulf of Mexico ecological catastrophe.
After instituting a Department of Justice criminal and civil investigation against British Petroleum, it is farcical for President Barack Obama to criticize the company for lining up legal counsel.

I’ve got nothing but sympathy for the Major League Baseball pitcher Armando Galarraga who pitched a perfect game for the Detroit Tigers, except for a bad call the umpire admitted was wrong. We will always know Galarraga pitched the 21st perfect game in MLB history and the third this season. Regardless of whatever decision is ultimately made on the bad call, both the player and the umpire have shown exemplary sportsmanship, honesty and integrity. Sometimes life just isn’t fair and bad things happen to good people.

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said Friday (6-4-2010), “I don’t think anybody believes the United States is a paper tiger.”
Perhaps not, but North Korea, Iran and China certainly act like we’re a de-fanged, de-clawed pussycat.

The economic recovery is a sham. Prices cannot go down when the government creates more jobs solely to pay the salaries and benefits of existing government employees. It is the antithesis of for-profit capitalism.
