Link to my Arpaio lawsuit story at Human Events

Human Events ran my story Wednesday about last week’s federal lawsuit against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Arizona’s illegal immigration stance.

Despite overwhelming national support for immigration law enforcement, Fedzilla’s attack continues. The U.S. Department of Justice and Department of Education are investigating Arizona’s Department of Education alleging discrimination over the firing of teachers found to not be proficient with the English language.

Pennsylvania is under attack too for allegedly attempting to usurp the federal government’s sole authority to make and enforce immigration laws.

Early today reports surfaced that a federal directive to all states will require police to stop detaining illegal immigrants until they commit a more serious crime than being in the country illegally.

Just as states and municipalities do not get to choose and pick which laws to enforce, the federal government has an obligation to enforce the laws of the land. The government can change the law through the legally approved process, but it cannot ignore them for political gain.

  1. Immigration says:

DOJ is on a fishing expedition again & they are trying to find anything to pin on Joe because they can’t get there way in AZ. they are a bunch of idiots to even waste their time when there is much more pressing matters to deal with. Joe Arpaio, Jan Brewer and soon Tom Horne, and the next who care will protect AZ.
